ACSI Elementary Speech Meet Results |

On Friday, May 21, fifteen students from Bethany Christian Academy participated in the 2010 ACSI Elementary Speech Meet at Trinity Lutheran School in Anaheim Hills. The students recited bible verses, poetry, fables, patriotic orations, and dramatic bible prose. Each student was scored individually by a panel of judges comprised of teachers from various private christian schools here in Orange County. Students were awarded either Superior, Excellent or Good ribbons for their speeches. Bethany earned 13 Superior ribbons and 2 Excellent ribbons at this year's meet. This is the most superior ratings our students have received at an Elementary Speech Meet in the 13 years that Mrs. Marriott-Nguyen has been coaching them.

Bethany Christian Academy held it's eighth grade commencement on Wednesday, June 16th. Speeches were given by Valedictorian Aline Nguyen and Salutatorian Cassie Chiang. Aline and Cassie were also named Students of the Year during the graduation ceremony.

Congratulations to our Drill Teams! On Saturday, May 8th all four of BCA's teams competed at the NRG Nationals Drill Team Competition at Sonora High School in La Habra. Our boys team won first place and a judge's award for "Backstreet Boys" award, our K - 3 mini pom team won 2nd place, our 4/5 elementary pom team won 1st place, and our jr. high girls dance team won 1st place and a judge's award for "Solid Gold Dancers" award.
